The Presidency had in March 2019, told beneficiaries of N-Power that their stipends were not paid due to issues with the Finance Ministry, Concise News reports.
This news medium understands that N-Power beneficiaries are yet to get their stipends for October 2019, halfway into another month.
The development has caused a whole lot of condemnation from the beneficiaries who accused the handlers of the N-Power scheme of being biased.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment Afolabi Imoukhuede who spoke then in Abuja, there was no need to panic.
“It is not as if we had paid Batch two and we did not pay Batch one, there is a delay and I think the government has been consistent in payment,” he told NAN then.
“The issues are being worked out between the Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General’s Office, and once these are resolved, the beneficiaries will get their stipend.
“I am sure, this week it will be resolved.’’
