N-Power: What You Need To Know About N-Build Trades (Infographic)

There was no reason given for the delay in opening of the application portal.
“Good morning, We realise that many have been waiting on information on the N-Power Build,” N Power tweet had read.
“We apologize. Please note that the portal will NOW open within a few weeks. We will communicate proper details shortly.”
However, before N-Power opens up its application portal for N-build for SSCE holders in coming days, there are things you need to know about the N-build trades available to choose from.
What you should know about N-Power build trades
Under the NBuild, candidates can pick from any of the following trades:
Beneficiaries will be trained on the fundamentals of the automobile industry which includes repair and diagnosis of modern vehicles using modern diagnostic tools, trouble shooting, workshop safety, OBD scanner, all data scanner, using modern analyzer, wheel alignment and balancing, panel beating and spraying, vulcanizing, using modern equipment/tools.
b). Agriculture Equipment Technicians (Agric, Tech):
Beneficiaries would be imbibed with basic knowledge and principles of operating/repair of modern Agric/Heavy Duty Engine Vehicles, proper selection, safe use/handling and storage of Agric/Heavy Duty engine diagnostic tools/equipment, compliance with manufacturing guide, service data, parts etc.
c). Carpentry & Joinery:
Beneficiaries would be trained on the primary work performed in the trade, which is the cutting, shaping and installation of building materials during the construction of buildings, ships, timber bridges, concrete framework, etc.
d). Electrical installation:
Beneficiaries would be trained to specialize in the electrical wiring of buildings, stationary machines, and related equipment, which would aid employment in the installation of new electrical components or the maintenance of existing electrical infrastructure.
e). Masonry & Tiling:
Beneficiaries would be trained to translate what the professionals have designed and drawn into the physical building by laying blocks or bricks to construct brickwork and also to lay combination of stones, bricks, cinder blocks, or similar pieces or concrete to make up the walls and structural elements of the building including foundations, floors, columns and beams. They would also undertake plastering, tiling and similar finishing work in the building.
f). Plumbing & Pipe-fitting:
Beneficiaries would be trained to specialize in installing and maintaining systems used for plumbing, heating, drainage, fire-fighting, potable (drinking) and waste water or small-sized industrial process plant piping.
Beneficiaries would be trained in the technical, vocational and professional training that cover the knowledge, skills and competence required for careers in the art of House Keeping, Catering & Cookery, Baking & Confectionery, Mixology and Waiters & Bartenders.
N-build required qualification
If you want to apply for the N-Build when the application portal opens, you must:
a). Be a non-graduate/SSCE holder (you can still apply if you don’t have SSCE)
b). Aged between 18-25
c). Currently unemployed
d). Have a passion for fixing, creating and building things.
