N-Power: Beneficiary Provides Update On Collection Of Device

An N-Power Tech beneficiary named Raheem has confirmed that trainees of the ongoing programme have received their laptops, Concise News reports.
In a video posted on the verified Twitter handle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom on Wednesday, Raheem, a Plateau state beneficiary of one of the components of the Federal Government’s N-Power scheme expressed his views on activities pertaining to the training happening in Abuja.
He said: “So far, we have started learning about HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).
“Our laptops have been distributed to us. And we have learnt how to install the software that we will be able to use for these classes.”
Additionally, another beneficiary, one Dorcas from Kogi state stated: “I’ve learnt how to install apps (sic), how to create a folder, how to own a business on your own… How to market your things online even without having a shop, without doing things under someone, but on your own you can create things that will make things wonderful to you.”
One of the project coordinators, Hammed Richard had said that two thousand HP laptops are already available.

Synopsis Of N-Tech Software Programme
N-Power Tech Software training, which commenced in last month is basically for developers.
N-Tech will train and position 10,000 hands-on software developers for the local and international software development market.
Participants will undergo a project-based model to training wherein they will be exposed to foundational software development tools as well as resources to thrive as a modern day software developer-entrepreneur.
The programme will seek to establish the foundation knowledge, tools and platform upon which participants can pursue a career as software development entrepreneurs.
Training will last 11 weeks and culminate with job fairs to link participants with placement opportunities within their respective localities.
Also, it will offer a continuity platform to support participants with learning and engagement opportunities on a continuous basis.
They will be enabled with a device to continue the practice and exploration of opportunities after training.
